Asteroid Mission Swirl

Well, Congress has had an early say in the humans-to-captured-asteroid mission, and that say is “No.” It’s stuff like this that’s soured me on political activism. I understand it’s how things get done, but the constant energy required to counter any policy or procedural vote through lobbying while seeing that the argument is lacking any of the ‘big guns’ that make Congresspeople care just saps my strength and interest. One day when I was visiting Congress, any arguments we made were drowned out by the fact that there was a nationwide campaign going on to call representatives about a constitutional amendment about marriage. The phones were ringing off the hook in every office, and we were the cute space guys who stopped by to talk.
